2020 ACE International Trip 0 C. Armstrong Viva l’ACEtalia! is American Coaster Enthusiasts' 2020 international trip to Italy.  This trip is in the early planning stages, but we are currently looking at late July 2020 for this trip. Kennywood 2019 2 S. Yasinsky Now that they've announced an opening day, is there any chance of them doing any softs, or a local ACE Media event? I'm flying in from California, but it's timed with a work event, and I can only be there on the 11th and 12th. :S

Question about media days 2 S. Jonke Hi! To follow up on this a bit, I'm very new to ACE and wondering how media days work for us. Do we get notifications that there are spots available? Who do we reach out to? I've never done one, and they just announced the media day for Maxx Force, so I want in badly.

Coaster Con 2019 (SFMM) 1 M. Geist Apocalypse will remain closed until West Coast Racers open, so it is doubtful to be operating for Coaster Con this year.

Coaster Con 2020? 4 D. Lowrey Hi David. For additional background and to add to what was already posted, Con always starts on Father's Day Sunday. The thing that can change year to year is the length of Coaster Con. It will almost always extend at least through Thursday for sure, and most of the time through Friday. We may have even extended to Saturday before once or twice too. But most of the time it's a Sunday to Friday schedule. I say most of the time, because as you probably noticed, this year's convention officially ends on Thursday. That was mostly because there are only two hosts, and with so many options in Southern California, we wanted to be sure to give attendees time to go to other parks or attractions.

ACE UK 2015 Flier/Reg. Date 1 S. Abidari The trip flier will be available very shortly, certainly in the next two weeks, as registration and deposit will be due in early March. Space on the trip will be limited (~180-200), so be sure to get your registration and deposit in sooner than later once the flier and online registration is available if you want to be sure and secure a spot on the trip.Hope to get to meet you on the trip.- Jerry

Summer Conference travel tips 0 B. Peters Our events folks recently posted an important announcement on our site regarding the need for a passport to travel to and from Canada.  The announcement had a link to the U.S. State Department's site for more information.  I have received a couple of emails from members with some more good suggestions for travelling to Canada.  I thought I would share them here. Feel free to share your suggestions as well! Here is a summary of the tips that I received by email: Make sure you read the entire page on U.S. State Department's site, not just the passport requirements. Contact your health insurance provider before departure to see if you will be covered in Canada. Also, if you plan to drive in Canada, contact your auto insurance agent to see if you will be covered in Canada and whether you will need a special insurance card for Canada. If one parent is travelling with children, have a notarized letter from the other parent giving you permission for the trip. Brian PetersACE Information Services Director

Spring Con. 4 B. Mondry The regional event at Cedar Point is called North Coast Con and will be held on July 12th - 13th. Scott Short, the regional rep for that region, has been posting updates about the event to the region's blog.
