Hello fellow ACEers. This is Mike. one of your members. You may know me. I attended Coaster Con last year. 

 

     I have some questions about some events scheduled for 2022. Do you know if you will be having Seaside Hangover at Casino Pier this year and when it will be ? What about ACE cares Coasting for Kids events? Do you know if you will be having a Coasting for Kids event at Kennywood this year? When? 

               I also have a question regarding the Coastin by the Ocean event at Morey's Piers? How late can I go befo I make a reservation at the hotel? Can I get a room at the hotel that doesn;t involve much walkingj, especially not up stairs 

      One last thing, does anybody know what a buzz bar is? I s it a small lap bar that goes over your lap in a seating with padding on either side

Seaside Hangover may be Aug 28th the day after Thrill-a-Thon at Six Flags Great Adventure (Aug 27th). I have not confirmed the date of Aug 28th with the park yet. Once confirmed I will have it posted to the ACE calendar.

Coastin by the Ocean. I highly recommend making reservations as early as possible. More so if your looking for a ground floor room. I recommend the Blue Palms for a few reasons. The hotel is 1 block off the boardwalk and centrally located between the 3 amusement piers. The Blue Palms offers a 10% discount when you mention the event and you can book a 2 night stay instead of the normal 3 night min.

The term buzz bars refers to the old style wood coaster stationary lapbars. You and the rider next to you share the common bar and they do not adjust lower or higher. They are at a fixed height. They get their name from the buzz noise they make when locking and unlocking. A good example would be the Phoenix at Knoebels.

All we know is what was GKTW report to for ACE No Coaster Con and ACE Winterfest last month... They are working with parks on the 2022 Coasting For Kids events and will notify ACE when they have confirmed details to report. 

 

However, just like in 2021, COVID is complicating things for the parks so it is again taking longer to confirm things than in pre-COVID times.

Keep watching the ACE Events page as the info is posted usually within 24 hours when ACE receives the info.
