 Saturday, November 30, 20241 - 9 p.m. Top off your Thanksgiving weekend with the 13th annual installment of Kennywood Park's Holiday Lights, during which the park is decorated with over two million lights! Owing to the popularity of the format of last year's event, this year's will again include a holiday feast of a dinner and will require advance registration! Attendees will also receive early entry into the park, ERT on Jack Rabbit (as long as temperatures aren't below 40 degrees) and the opportunity to meet Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and his friends, in addition to a the chance to mingle with fellow members during a schedule of optional ITOTs (Informal TakeOver Times) and meetups on various rides and attractions. REGISTRATION IS LIMITED! Unfortunately, all of the extra magic comes with a capacity limitation. As such, registration will be capped off at about 115. Those who wish to attend are encouraged to register early. ***UPDATED SCHEDULE AS OF NOVEMBER 27: Owing to the weather forecast ensuring temperatures will undoubtedly be too cold for the park to operate certain rides, including the wood coasters. Event organizers regret that on the updated schedule below, Jack Rabbit has been removed from ERT and Racer has been removed as an ITOT.*** 1 - 1:45 p.m. Event check-in at main gate 1:45 p.m. Registered attendees may enter the park 2 p.m. Group Photo in front of Jack Rabbit 2:05 - 3 p.m. ERT on Kangaroo and Potato Smash 2:30 - 3 p.m. ERT (Exclusive Rudolph Time) — This is the only 30 minutes of the day that park guests will encounter Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and ALL of his friends (Bumble, Clarice and Sam the Snowman) at the same time. Find it in Pavilion 17 behind Aero 360. 3 p.m. ITOT on Journey with Thomas (train) (avoid the lines later and queue up before the park gates open!) 3 - 9 p.m. Kennywood open to the public and you 3:30 p.m. ITOT on Ghostwood Estate 4:15 p.m. ITOT on Noah's Ark 5:40 p.m. Meet at the Big Tree for the Tree Lighting Ceremony (selected event attendees will do the honors!) 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. Holiday Feast in End Zone Cafe 8 p.m. ITOT on Merry Go Round 9 p.m. Park closes Additional activities including ITOTs (Informal TakeOver Times) will be added to the schedule. Event check-in aside, the schedule is tentative and subject to change. ACE Western Pennsylvania takes no responsibility for any decisions by the park should it choose not to open or close early due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances, and likewise if weather or other issues prohibit one or more of the event's activities from taking place. If the park does not open, the event will be considered cancelled and will not be rescheduled. Note that if the event is cancelled, registration fees will be fully refunded. The height requirement for Jack Rabbit is 48" to ride alone and 42" to ride accompanied by a responsible person. For height requirements for all other rides, click here. Parking is free in designated areas. Preferred parking is available for an additional fee and to those with appropriate season passes. Cameras are not permitted on rides at any time. The payment of registration fees by, for or on behalf of participants acknowledges that an inherent risk of exposure to Covid-19 exists in public places where people are present and that attendees voluntarily assume all risks to exposure to Covid-19 and holds harmless American Coaster Enthusiasts, Inc. and its Officers, Executive Committee Members, Regional Representatives and other representatives from any and all illness and injury. - Registration is limited! - To register, click the Register Now button below. Online registration is available until November 20, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. and will be shut off sooner if the event becomes sold out.
- All payments must be made by ACE members. Guests must be registered with ACE members, with payment from the member.
- NOTE: Universe, ACE Western Pennsylvania's third-party event registration provider, offers an "Event Protection" insurance option during the registration process. This feature is NOT endorsed or recommended by ACE Western Pennsylvania.
- Season Pass Discount: Please note that if you register as a season pass holder, you are responsible for bringing your valid season pass with you to the event and using it to be admitted into the park, as admission tickets will not be provided.
- No materials will be sent to you in advance. All materials (admission ticket, etc.) will be provided to you at the event.
- After registering, you will receive an immediate email confirmation through Universe, our third-party registration/payment service. Within 72 hours of registering, a second confirmation will be sent direct from ACE Western Pennsylvania's regional representative (blinkenheimer@aceonline.org). A day or two before the event, those registered will receive an email with detailed information about the event and what to expect. This email will be sent from eventregistration@ACEwesternPA.org. We suggest adding those email addresses to your contact list and/or safe-senders list, to avoid having them go to spam or alternate email folders. Note that emails will only be sent to the email addresses entered by the individual performing the registration. If you register other members including friends and family, we suggest that you forward any informational emails along to them.
- Note that you do NOT need to print tickets or have mobile tickets available when you check in on the day of the event.
- If you have registered in advance and arrive after the scheduled check-in time, your registration materials will be left at the guest relations office at the park's main entrance. Note however that the guest relations office and/or park gates may not open until the park opens to the public, and therefore arriving late may cause you to miss those activities occurring before the park opens.
- Cancellation Policy: Refunds will be issued less a $10 per person processing fee through November 20, 2024. To cancel, contact Elena Marziale at 412.337.3813. No refunds will be issued after November 20, 2024. Processing fees for online registration may not be refundable.
- Registrations are non-transferrable. Should you be unable to make it and wish to transfer your registration to another person, please contact ACE Western Pennsylvania Regional Representative Bill Linkenheimer at blinkenheimer@aceonline.org.
