3:40 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Top off your Thanksgiving weekend with the 11th annual installment of
Kennywood Park's Holiday Lights! The park is decorated with over two
million holiday lights. Discounted tickets will be available for
purchase online. Attendees with a valid ticket (or eligible season pass)
will enjoy early admission AND some special activities. ACE members and
their guests will be treated to a behind-the-scenes experience exploring
the area between Racer and The Steel Curtain, enjoying a
close-up view of the new paint job that Racer is undergoing.
After that, attendees will be first in line for the popular train ride.
In addition, there will, of course, also be a number of ITOTs (Informal
TakeOver Times) on various rides. If temperatures for the evening
are expected to be below 40 degrees, ACE Western Pennsylvania will
provide a limited number of complimentary hand-warmers to event
attendees. Note that special activities are contingent of favorable
weather conditions. In the event of snow, sleet or rain, other
activities may be substituted.
NOTE THAT A WRISTBAND IS REQUIRED FOR EARLY ADMISSION TO THE PARK AND TO
PARTICIPATE IN THE EXCLUSIVE ACTIVITIES. Prior to entering the park, ACE
members and their guests, whether purchasing a ticket or using a season
pass, must present a valid ACE membership to ACE event check-in
volunteers outside the front gate, between 3:40 and 4:10 p.m. to get
their wristband. Wristbands must be worn on the left wrist in order to
enter the park early and be visible during all exclusive event
activities.
Kennywood is graciously offering ACE members a reduced park admission
price of $20.99 (inclusive of $1 amusement tax) to attend this event, a
$19 savings off the walk-up gate price. Discounted
tickets must be purchased online using a discount code, which is not yet
available. Instructions to purchase discounted tickets will be emailed
to all members on the ACE Western Pennsylvania email list once it
becomes available. Members may also contact regional representative Bill Linkenheimer to get the instructions. Be sure to include your name and membership number in the email to
blinkenheimer@aceonline.org. Discounted tickets are valid this night only. Season pass holders may use their season pass to enter the park.
