Media: "The Legacy of Schwarzkopf" Documentary World Premiere

Austin,Texas (November 8, 2024) The American Coaster Enthusiasts (ACE) is pleased to announce the world premiere of the story of Schwarzkopf Industries, a true pioneer in roller coaster design and manufacturing. “The Legacy of Schwarzkopf" is a documentary that features the importance of Anton Schwarzkopf's history in the amusement industry. Schwarzkopf’s rides are regarded as some of the greatest ever built.

The documentary premieres Saturday, November 9, 2024, with festivities starting at 5:30 p.m. CST at Circuit of The Americas (COTALAND), 9201 Circuit of The Americas Boulevard, Austin, Texas. The operation is a premier destination for world-class motorsports and entertainment in the United States and features a classic Schwarzkopf roller coaster, Texas Wildcat.

As a follow-up to “The Legacy of Arrow,” this documentary was produced by more than 200 members of the American Coaster Enthusiasts, a 100-percent volunteer organization, and was funded solely by generous donations. The film was shot in numerous amusement park locations throughout the United States, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Sweden and Brazil.

“Anton Schwarzkopf was more than important to the development of the attractions industry; he was instrumental. Werner Stengel’s partnership with him was crucial to their success. Hopefully, viewers will walk away with a newfound respect for these classic attractions,” said Kris Rowberry, executive producer of the film.

The East Coast premiere will take place on November 20, during IAAPA Expo week, at Fun Spot America in Orlando, Florida. Future showings include on December 1 at Liseberg Park in Sweden during ACE Europe's Winterfest event, on January 25 during a special screening hosted by ACE's Northern California region and on February 1 at the annual Eastcoaster event hosted by ACE's Eastern Pennsylvania region. The documentary will be available on ACE’s YouTube channel in 2025.
