WORLD’S LARGEST RIDE ENTHUSIAST ORGANIZATION TO VISIT AREA PARKS

Coaster Con 43 brings visitors from 37 states and DC to Pennsylvania

HERSHEY, PA – June 20, 2021 – Nearly 700 members of the American Coaster Enthusiasts (ACE) and their friends from 37 states and the District of Columbia will spend a week venturing across central and eastern Pennsylvania to experience Hersheypark, Hershey; Dutch Wonderland, Lancaster; Dorney Park, Allentown; Philadelphia Toboggan Coasters, Inc., Hatfield; and Knoebels Amusement Resort, Elysburg.

The 43rd annual coaster convention, the flagship event of ACE, is the largest gathering of members every year. This is the highlight of the season for many attendees. The gathering was delayed a year owing to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“After over 15 months of pandemic isolation in the mountains of Tennessee, I am looking forward to getting back to riding roller coasters again at Coaster Con 43,” shared ACE President Robert Ulrich. “But it’s not just the coasters; it’s the people that I am most looking forward to reuniting with. After months of isolation, and seeing only a handful of people during a week, I am eager to see so many smiling faces and anticipating huge hugs from ACE members gathering again for what will be a historic convention. Proof that while it’s the coasters that bring us together, it’s the relationships with people that weld us into a lasting community."

“This week is about coming together to enjoy some of the nation’s most exciting and historic roller coasters and to honor the historic Hersheypark Comet and Dorney Park Thunderhawk with an ACE Roller Coaster Landmark recognition in addition to sharing time with friends, both new and old,” said Elizabeth Ringas, ACE communications director. Highlights of the week include exclusive ride time (ERT) sessions for attendees before and/or after the park opens/closes. Add to that, presentations, workshops, behind-thescenes tours and photo and video contests. A banquet, at which dignitaries from the amusement industry appear as featured keynote speakers, is also part of the festivities.
