Media: World’s Largest Roller Coaster Club Honors The Gravity Group

Orlando, FL (November 16, 2023) - American Coaster Enthusiasts (ACE), the world’s largest ride enthusiast group, is proud to recognize The Gravity Group as an Honorary Member. The plaque was presented to The Gravity Group team during the 2023 IAAPA Expo being held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. The annual IAAPA Expo brings together professionals from around the world to shape the future of creating unforgettable guest experiences. Honoring The Gravity Group at the premier global event for the attractions industry is a perfect fit because of its team members' work to preserve the wooden roller coaster experience.

The company was founded in 2002 by a group of veteran wooden roller coaster designers who were passionate about bringing wooden coaster technology to the next century. From their initial record-breaking projects, Hades at Mt. Olympus Water Park & Theme Resort and The Voyage at Holiday World & Splashin' Safari, the company has been responsible for successful roller coaster installations around the world. Its team of engineers has more experience designing wooden roller coasters than those of any other company in existence today.

ACE members appreciate the company’s recognizing the need for a modern steering wooden roller coaster car, Timberliner. The Gravity Group also improved track maintenance by perfecting a unique engineered wood system initially deployed during maintenance of Kings Island’s Racer that brought new life to The Beast roller coaster along with other installations.

Over the years, the company has accepted many opportunities to interact and orient ACE members and has always been welcoming with tours and presentations at many ACE events.

Honorary memberships are awarded to individuals and organizations who have made exceptional contributions to the fulfillment of ACE's purposes and are elected by a two-thirds vote of the Executive Committee of the organization.
