World's Largest Coaster Club Arrives in New York for Preservation Conference

Brooklyn, NY (August 25, 2023) – Members of the American Coaster Enthusiasts (ACE) and their friends will spend a coaster-filled weekend venturing across New York to experience Playland Park, Adventureland, Deno's Wonder Wheel Amusement Park and Luna Park at Coney Island during the 2023 ACE Preservation Conference.

The annual Preservation Conference is in support of ACE’s mission to draw attention to the preservation of traditional parks or coasters.

“This weekend offers an opportunity to support ACE’s mission to preserve roller coasters at the birthplace of the first modern roller coaster, Coney Island! We will be celebrating three ACE Roller Coaster Landmarks, a designation reserved for rides of historic significance, along with Deno’s Wonder Wheel, a world famous New York City landmark attraction built in 1920,” announced ACE Communications Director Derek Perry.

During the weekend, attendees will share exclusive ride time, meals, tours and park history presentations.

Dedicated to the preservation, promotion, appreciation and safe enjoyment of roller coasters, ACE has always had a preservation component in its core mission since its origins in 1978. The ACE Preservation Fund offers financial assistance to roller coaster owners and operators around the world to lend aid when needed. Funds may be available to assist with the cost of needed repairs or refurbishment work to ensure a roller coaster continues to offer guests thrills, fun and memories for years to come.
