Day Two Recap

The second day of the IAAPA Expo brought more announcements, but in typical fashion it was much quieter and more relaxed than the first official day. Lighter crowds and less energy needed to absorb the surrounding spectacle ensured it was less physically demanding and less emotionally exhausting.

Wednesday kicked off with Legoland’s exciting new coaster announcement for Legoland Florida Resort (Winter Haven) and Legoland California (Carlsbad), Galacticoaster. This ART Engineering GmbH launched family coaster, to debut in 2026, will be a pair of indoor family experiences where guests can design their own Lego spacecrafts. Fitting inside a 30,000-square foot building, both will feature nearly 1,500 feet of track.

Next, WhiteWater West took the stage to highlight some of its notable projects coming to amusement parks in 2026. Endless Surf — a family of surf parks — plans to open five projects in five different venue types in 2026: Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Mexico, Vero Beach and Terras de São José.

Premiering a year later in 2027, two of WhiteWater West’s newest waterslides will be Nautilus and Hurricane. As stated in the company’s press release:

“Reminiscent of a spiraled seashell, Nautilus is an oscillating slide feature that is highly adaptable to incoming slide paths and speeds. It will be thrilling guests at Great Tides Waterpark in 2026. Hurricane is a visually impressive feature for 6-person rafts that surprises riders with a fun pool entry-like deceleration followed by a strong vertical and centripetal acceleration for the exit.”

WhiteWater West’s exhibit featured examples of new ride vehicles for existing log flumes. On display were new ride vehicles for Daredevil Falls, a log flume ride at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

The ACE booth was once again staffed by some of the organization’s volunteers and hosted individuals from all corners of the industry as well as those passing through the expo as intrigued observers. Representatives from amusement parks such as Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari, Lake Quassy Amusement Park, Santa’s Village and Universal Studios were among the visitors, as well as representatives from industry friends and partners such as International Rides Management.

ACE was the recipient of IAAPA’s Brass Ring award, having won second place for best linear booth. It was both a surprise and an honor for the organization to receive the award.
