ACE 2020 Election

2020 is an election year for the ACE officer positions of president, vice president, treasurer and secretary. For 2020, there will also be a proposed Constitution change and two proposed bylaw changes.

The candidates' platforms and proposed constitution and bylaw changes are available online for review.

This year's candidates are:

For President:

  • Robert Ulrich

For Vice President:

  • Jeff Niemiec
  • Robert Reagan

For Secretary

  • Lisa Zagarella

For Treasurer:

  • Cheri Armstrong

As per the ACE Election Procedures and Guidelines, "On or about June 15 of the election year, ballots reflecting the nominations, and providing for write-in votes for alternate candidates, shall be sent to all members in good standing. Returned ballots shall be received or completed online no later than July 15 to be valid." The bylaws set the number of votes at one for all membership types except Couple and Family that receive two votes.

Ballots will be mailed to members who do not have a valid email address; otherwise ballots are emailed. (Note: If you have a spam filter for your email, it is suggested you set it to allow email from vote-now.com. Sending an email to elections@vote-now.com prior to the election should also allow you to receive emails from vote-now.com.) When voting online, the web site supports all browsers, however, if you use a cell phone and (for example) jump to a candidate platform statement after voting for earlier candidates, your earlier votes may have to be reentered.

As in year’s past members may enter anonymous comments about the election process after voting. New for 2020, is the ability to have your email address attached to the comment only (not your ballot information) if you desire a response.

Additional information regarding ACE officer positions or the election can be found in ACE's Constitution and Bylaws.

ACE's Executive Committee also has recommended a constitution change and two proposed bylaw changes for approval:

Constitution Change: Clarification of Candidate Qualifications

Bylaw Change #1: Creation of Operations Director and Revision of Membership Director position

Bylaw Change #2: Elimination of the ACE Trial Membership

Election results will be available on all ACE media shortly after the election closes on July 15. If you have any questions or comments please feel free to contact the ACE Election & Nominating Committee at email: nominations@aceonline.org.
