In the works (and the rumor mill) for some time, Parc Astérix has announced Toutatis, a multielement steel coaster from Intamin. Located northeast of Paris in Plailly, France, Parc Astérix is renowned for its variety of roller coasters, and it
seems that Toutatis, will meet the park’s high standards. With multiple linear synchronous motor launches, a switch-track/rollback/spike sequence and a peak height of 167 feet reached upon a top hat element, the free-form coaster will also
include trenches, tunnels and interaction with the Trace du Hourra Mack bobsled coaster. With a top speed of 66 mph and a track length of 3526 feet, Toutatis, appears to have elements similar to the upcoming Pantheon at Busch
Gardens Williamsburg, though of different layout and dimensions.
