This season, families will be able to enjoy a brand new coaster at Jenkinson's Boardwalk in Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey. The new coaster is to be called Tidal Wave and is now under construction for the upcoming 2019 season.

According to the Jenkinson's website, Tidal Wave is a beach- and surf-themed family spinning roller coaster that is inspired by Jenkinson’s iconic beach culture.

Tidal Wave will spin riders in a clockwise manner and reach top speeds of 20 mph. The coaster measures approximately 90 feet wide and 20 feet high.

The new coaster replaces Flitzer at the far south end of the amusement park.
