One of ACE’s longest running goals is the establishment of a museum and support of the National Roller Coaster Museum and Archives. At the recent Golden Ticket Awards held in Branson, Missouri, industry professionals got a more detailed look at the progress made by the NRCMA.

Currently, the NRCMA storage facility resides in Plainview, Texas, thanks to the incredible generosity of Larson International, a ride manufacturer on the site that has graciously donated the land.

The NRCMA has recently built a model that debuted at the Golden Ticket Awards but will also be showcased at the NRCMA booth at the IAAPA Attractions Expo in Orlando. Its purpose is to engage industry professionals and encourage donations to complete the planned expansion.

Three buildings currently house the majority of the NRCMA collection.ACE funded the first, Cliff’s Amusement Park funded the second and the third was added thanks to donations from Knoebels. With the Mark Moore expansion, named after a former board member of the NRCMA and the CEO of Uremet, activities and events can take place in the climate-controlled space. Right now, only a small portion of the storage facility is climate controlled. It houses blueprints and paper documents.
