It may have been only an unintended note of "FYI" in a company presentation, but a little leak from SeaWorld Orlando has the enthusiast teaser cells fired. It seems an illustration – confirmed by park publicity staff to have been produced internally - of a proposed steel coaster was floated about. The ride is of low-lying stature and is set to slither into the Florida theme park in the near future, perhaps as soon as 2020. Among the few stated details are a speed of 55 mph and "multiple launches and inversions."

If no one minds us noticing, the entire family of SeaWorld parks is on the edge of a thrill ride upswing, helped with a $150 million investment in park improvements. Busch Gardens Tampa Bay's 2019 Tigris will be followed by a major new attraction on the site of the former Gwazi a year later; Busch Gardens Williamsburg has secured permits for a 300-foot-tall ride to be completed by 2021; and credible chatter is spreading about the next big thing headed for SeaWorld San Antonio.
