Marineland has entertained generations of families since 1961. The park entered the coaster scene rather diminutively with Lady Bug Coaster, a Zierer Tivoli coaster, in 1979. Four years later, the park exploded on the scene with Dragon Mountain, an Arrow multi-looper. Sprawling over 30 acres, it includes the only use of Arrow's "bowtie" looping inversion element.
Along with other profile attractions such as Sky Screamer, an S&S combo tower, the park offers many animal interactions with their sea life, elk and deer.
Canada's Wonderland opened in 1981 as a sister park to Kings Island and Kings Dominion. The park opened with a trio of wood coasters designed by Curtis Summers - Wild Beast, Mighty Canadian Minebuster and Ghoster Coaster.
Today the park's collection includes a diverse collection of 15 coasters, from B&M's Leviathan and Behemoth to Vortex, a fantastic Arrow suspended coaster, and many others from a variety of manufacturers such as Mack, Premier, TOGO, Vekoma, Miler and Zamperla. It's a coaster counter and coaster lover's dream.
