American Coaster Enthusiasts' National Summer Event Set for Canada's Wonderland and Marineland

American Coaster Enthusiasts go to the Great White North to ride one of the world's tallest coasters.

VAUGHAN, ON, CAN and NIAGARA FALLS, ON, CAN – Nearly 200 roller coaster enthusiasts from across the U.S. and Canada will convene at Canada's Wonderland (August 23-24) and Marineland (August 25) to celebrate two unique Canadian theme parks. This three-day celebration is the Summer Conference of American Coaster Enthusiasts (ACE) held Friday through Sunday at two parks full of thrills and character. A prime feature of the conference will be multiple hours of riding the two parks' three wooden and 14 steel roller coasters.

Steel coaster aficionados in attendance are eager to get their fill of exhilarating surges of speed, radically banked turns and hair-raising inversions during the exclusive ride time (ERT) sessions on the thrilling Behemoth and nicely themed Backlot Stunt Coaster at Canada's Wonderland, plus the looping Dragon Mountain at Marineland. Wood coaster fans are looking forward to experiencing more nostalgic weightless "airtime" sensations during ERT sessions on Mighty Canadian Minebuster and Wild Beast at Canada's Wonderland. Attendees will enjoy camaraderie with like-minded people and share stories of coasters ridden in all corners of the world, as many ACE members have traveled to Europe, Central America, Australia and Asia. Anywhere there is a coaster, you will find an ACEer. Attendees will also enjoy picnics, VIP seating for two shows, a coaster walkback tour and a Q&A session with park managers.

A highlight of the event will take place the morning of August 24, when Leviathan at Canada's Wonderland will be part of a two-hour ERT session. At 306 feet tall with a length of 5,318 feet, Leviathan is not only the tallest, longest and fastest roller coaster in Canada, but also one of the tallest, longest and fastest coasters in the world.
