Polercoaster Approved for Atlantic City

Atlantic City, New Jersey, will soon be home to a 350-foot-tall Polercoaster — a vertical roller coaster with a small physical footprint — after the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority recently approved the plans.

Florida developer Joshua Wallack said the attraction will also include a nightlife component and bar. He didn't comment on the timeframe for when the coaster would be completed but said he hopes to open the new attraction "as quickly as possible."

The Atlantic City coaster will be built on the one-acre lot where the Sands Casino once stood, set on Boardwalk, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, Mount Vernon and Kentucky Avenues.
