NEW WOOD COASTER TO DEBUT IN ORLANDO

Fun Spot Action Park in Orlando, Florida, will undergo a name change in 2013 and will become Fun Spot America. Along with the name change, the park will debut a new wooden roller coaster named White Lightning.

Early reports indicate that the Great Coasters International Inc. out-and-back design will use steel supports. White Lightning will be 75 feet tall, 2,000 feet long and will reach speeds of up to 48 mph. No word yet on the style of train, the number of trains or the capacity.

A February 2013 opening is planned for White Lightning.

See the April issue of ACE News for other details regarding the expansion of the park.
