PortAventura's Shambhala Nears Completion

PortAventura Park in Salou, Spain, is expected to open Shambhala in May. Trackwork is complete on the Bolliger & Mabillard steel out-and-back, and the trains (featuring the same staggered seating found on Behemoth, Diamondback and Intimidator) have arrived. Test runs begin soon. Once the 249-foot-tall mega coaster debuts, it will surpass Europa Park's Silver Star as the tallest roller coaster in Europe, which is a record that Silver Star held for ten years.
