Sesame Place Announces Oscar's Wacky Taxi Wooden Coaster for 2018

The children's theme park in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, is building a wooden coaster of junior proportions, which is a project of The Gravity Group. The steel-structured 40-foot-tall, 1,200-foot-long coaster will include a tunnel and will run a customized Gravitykraft Timberliner train of "taxi" cars; point-of-view animation suggests quite a bit of dynamic action for a wooden coaster designed for children and families. Oscar's Wacky Taxi will be the first wooden coaster at Sesame Place, joining the steel Vekoma Vapor Trail, which opened in 1998. Already the home of more wooden roller coasters than any other state, Pennsylvania will beef up its operating wooden coaster count to 18 with Oscar's Wacky Taxi, which is scheduled to open in Spring 2018.
