Today was opening day for Quassy Amusement Park, Middlebury, Connecticut, and also its Wooden Warrior, the newest creation by The Gravity Group, LLC. And while Mother Nature offered up temperatures only in the 40’s, dark gray skies and pouring rain, the spirits of over 100 fans were hardly dampened.
Though the park never opened to the public due to the poor weather conditions, those in attendance did get approximately two hours of ERT-like conditions in said pouring rain. By the time the last train made its final double circuit run, the train was occupied solely by 10 ACE members.
All in attendance were in total agreement that Quassy has a huge hit on its hands with Wooden Warrior, drawing cheers and applause upon the dispatch and return of every circuit. And though there remain a few finishing touches to be completed (like shingling the roof of the tunnel, and the paving of the queue), the latest masterpiece of The Gravity Group, and the wonderful Timberliner trains from Gravitykraft Corporation, will thrill riders of all ages for years to come.
